Nautical Sparkles
20:54Hello lovely ladies,
Although we are well into 2015 now, I am still feeling the festive season of Christmas and New Years- the time of the year where excessive glitter is truly acceptable.
This post is inspired by glamorous festivities; however, it is suitable for all year round as the glitz is more subtle than the standard gold or silver glitter.
Firstly, apply a base coat to the nails to give the nail polish a smooth foundation.
Secondly, apply Revlon "Urban" nail polish which is a navy opaque polish (one coat is enough as we will be applying other polishes on top).
Thirdly, apply one coat of Revlon "Artsy" nail polish and let it dry. Then apply one more coat for extra sparkles and a shimmery effect.
Lastly, apply any top coat to seal the glitters in and leave a smooth texture over the glitter polish (I used Sally Hansen "Mega Shine" which keeps the polish put for a good 4-5 days and leaves a beautiful shine).
This nail look is perfect for any party or formal event. Although it is not Winter in Melbourne, I still love this look for Summer as the sparkles catch the sunlight and looks very glamorous.
All these polishes are available at Priceline and other pharmacies.
As per usual, I hope this post finds you well and inspires you to experiment with glitter.
Take Care,
Leonie x
