Best of 2014

22:07

Hello lovely ladies,

2014 has come to a close!  Firstly, I'd like to say HAPPY NEW YEAR and thank you for your ongoing support in the year of 2014! :)  2014 was the year I embarked this journey of beauty blogging here on Blogspot and on Instagram and it has truly become an enjoyable passion for myself.

I'd like to wish you all a fabulous new year filled with happiness and health; may 2015 be a fantastic year for you! :)

Throughout the year of 2014, I have experimented a ton with makeup and have found a few loves along the way.  Here are some products I've used religiously this year:

(1) L'Oreal True Match Foundation
This foundation has been my "go-to" foundation this year.  Gives a medium to full coverage complexion and is not thick nor "cakey" on the face.

(2) Lancome Cils Booster
Lancome Cils Booster is a lash primer which can be used prior to applying mascara.  This treats the lashes with care and maximises the volume and staying power of the mascara.

(3) Too Faced Shadow Insurance- Glitter Glue
This eye shadow is hands down the best primer I have tried so far.  It keeps my eye shadows put throughout a long night out.

(4) Clinque High Impact Mascara
This mascara I received as a "gift with purchase"; however, it has become my daily mascara as it provides length, volume and definition.  The staying power is stronger than many other non-waterproof mascaras I have tried.

(5) Kat Von D Tattoo Liner in Trooper
This is unfortunately only available in the USA; however, if you ever find yourself near a Sephora, you must try this one out!  This eyeliner does not smudge at all :)

(6) Benefit Hoola Bronzer
I believe there is already a lot of hype about this product but truthfully speaking, its a brilliant contour shade for my skin tone.  Absolutely would recommend!

(7) Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette
When I first purchased this palette, I didn't think I would use it much; however, I find myself gravitating to this palette for transition shades and also base shades.  This is my "go-to" palette when I am going for a cut crease eye shadow look.

(8) NYC Sunny Bronzer
This is the most inexpensive and most natural bronzer I have come across.  This was purchased whilst I was in the USA (from Walmart).

(9) The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer
The Balm products are available at David Jones for those of you in Australia.  This is such a pigmented and shimmery highlighter.  Perfect for that dewy finish!

(10) Real Techniques Buffing Brush
I use this brush for foundation and it is, in my eyes, the perfect foundation brush!  It does not steal all the foundation and it does not leave brush streaks on the face.

(11) Bioderma Micellar Water
This product has been one of my holy grail products for a long time now!  Although more on the pricey side for a makeup remover, it does the job like no other, taking off every trace of makeup.  If using a waterproof mascara, I recommend using an oil based makeup remover on the eyes.

As per usual, I hope this post finds you well and gives you some inspiration to try new products.  Thank you once again for being apart of this blogging journey with me.

Take Care,
             Leonie x
