Favourite Mascara Combo for Lashes with Volume, Length and Definition

Mascara is one of those things that are unmissable in my makeup routine. Having short lashes myself, mascara is able to provide me with thick, lengthy lashes to enhance my eyes.
Over a long period of time, I've been trying different mascaras with different formulas and purposes to attempt to find myself the "perfect mascara". Although I am yet to find it, I have created myself a mascara combination that I happily turn to every day :)
* For ladies with short lashes too, my tip would be to find a mascara that has a thin wand. This will allow the wand grab and coat your lashes from your lash band right to the ends of the lashes without causing smudges on your lids.
This combination contains one high end and two drugstore mascaras; Lancome Cils Booster Triple Care Mascara; Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara and Maybelline Falsies Mascara.

My routine goes as so:
- Apply Lancome Cils Booster Triple Care mascara on lashes and allow it to dry.
- Use Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara to define lashes and coat each individual lash; giving them length.
- Use Maybelline Falsies Mascara on top of the Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara to give that false lash look with volume and curved lashes.
Although the high end mascara may be pricey, I believe it definitely makes a difference as it is a mascara primer. Many people don't believe in the concept of lash primers but over the past year, this product has become one that I cannot live without. Whether I'm going out for just an hour or I'm going out for an entire day, this product is definitely an essential.
After using a lash primer daily, I've been able to have a smooth surface to apply mascara on and the primer definitely helps boost the length and thickness of each lash. It also helps the mascara stay put for longer without smudging throughout the day (which was an issue I had previously).
*When you first apply the primer, the formula comes out white on the lashes; however, it dries clear.
Think of a lash primer like a foundation primer; most people think primers are of no use, but once you start using them, you can't imagine a makeup routine without them.
The lash primer also protects the lashes and they become stronger, resulting in less lashes coming out when removing heavy eye makeup at the end of the day/night.
The Maybelline Illegal Length Mascara was my first favourite drugstore mascara. The design of the wand impressed me as it is thin and can reach all my tiny lashes. It gives incredible length as it contains fibres in the mascara formula which allows further lengthening. Some people may be skeptical of fibre mascaras but for those with short lashes, this mascara is a blessing.
This mascara is not hyped as much as Maybelline Falsies but the formula, wand and results are fantastic. I've gone through 2 tubes of this mascara so far and have back ups as well! :)
Last but not least, I apply Maybelline Falsies Mascara to complete the look. The blackness of this mascara is intense and is perfect to finish off the lashes with. It holds the curl and gives the lashes the perfect amount of volume. This mascara is definitely build-able on top of the Illegal Length Mascara.
